Perfume Ads Take Themselves Too Seriously, So I Don’t!
It started with a Dior ad for “Savauge” cologne, which is pronounced the same as Savage Opress from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I just couldn’t stop laughing.
I kept seeing these Dior ads for Sauvage perfume or cologne and was like, “Is this as prank? Does no one else see how ridiculous this is?” Guess this is what happens when you interrupt my streaming video with your ads…
It started with this one for Savage Opress (Darth Maul’s brother from Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and kinda went downhill from there.
The apple in this Dior Hypnotic Poison ad reminded me of Snow White and the Evil Queen, so I started decided to include some other Disney villains who used poison.
Dune?? Seriously, it’s like they’re doing my job for me….
I couldn’t stop myself with this Gentlemen Only ad featuring Simon Baker…
I mean, how could I not turn this into a Psych vs the Mentalist thing?? You know you would have too. But that’s ok, I’ve heard it both ways.
Personally, I think these would sell better if they were themed like this. I mean, Fahrenheit? it’s on the freaking label! I’d totally buy a book themed fragrance!
The Brad Pitt ads left so many options….But in the end, Rusty (Ocean’s 11) really was INEVITABLE..
And you know I had no other choice. Especially after Avengers: Endgame and the Black Widow movie!
I really hope Burberry paid Adam Driver a whole lotta money for this ridiculous centaur ad… I decided to add some dignity to it with Matt the Radar Technician from SNL’s Star Wars Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base.
You just can’t go wrong with Cate Blanchett. Whether she’s Galadriel or Hela, she’s gonna blow you away.
You know I had to make a Twilight joke. Don’t judge me.
This one just looked too much like a liquor bottle, and I had a weak moment…
